Event A/V Services offers comprehensive support for events held across various campus locations. Whether your event is indoors or outdoors, our skilled technical team is equipped to handle all your A/V requirements, ensuring a successful event.
For events in one of the staffed lecture halls — Campbell Hall, Embarcadero Hall, Interactive Learning Pavilion, and IV Theaters — please refer to the respective pages for detailed information on support levels, operating hours, and guidelines.

General Services and Fees
While there is no rental fee for most facilities on campus, there is a cost for labor and equipment. All charges are billed via Recharge. All charges are billed at an hourly or daily rate and are based on actual labor and equipment used on the event day.
Booking
To request technical support or equipment for your event, please:
- Confirm your venue (Instructional Development does not reserve rooms on campus, to request a room, please follow the steps listed below.)
- Review our Guidelines and Procedures.
- After receiving your room confirmation, complete the Event A/V Support Request Form below.
- Fill out a Room Request form via AdAstra
- Login with your UCSB NetID
- Click the Events Tab
- Select Event Request
- Select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu
- Complete and submit the form
- After you receive confirmation of your space, contact the appropriate person(s) for additional support.
- Isla Vista Theaters, Embarcadero Hall, Campbell Hall - use the links above for the next steps
- For all other campus venues - complete the Event Support Request form below
- Additional Steps for Student Groups:
- Complete necessary SEAL requirements by filling out a 360 Form via Shoreline
- Attend a Minor Events Committee Meeting. During the school year, the committee meets every Wednesday from Noon-1 pm
To request A/V support from Event A/V Services, please fill out and submit an Event A/V Support Request. All requests must be received at least 5 business days prior to the event.

The Fair Use doctrine requires that a viewing license be issued for all full film screenings on campus, regardless of the viewing platform. The doctrine applies to classes and events on campus. To browse videos that are already licensed by UCSB, you can search the following websites:
