The use of student response systems is growing rapidly at UCSB, with 27 faculty members from 15 departments using the i>clicker technology to foster feedback, promote active learning, and to enhance student learning during lectures. In this informal discussion, faculty will have a chance to explore techniques that instructors from a variety of disciplines have found most effective, challenges associated with the technology, and strategies that can be used to leverage the effectiveness of the student response system.
Please RSVP to Lisa Berry lisa@id.ucsb.edu if you are interested in attending.
Faculty are warmly invited to our up-coming brown bag lunch, a collegial conversation for anyone who is curious about their teaching and their students’ learning.
